Summer Camp

Beanbags

Bright Star offers a holiday and Summer Camp Program that combines safety and structure with flexible choices to match your child's interests.

We have a lot of wonderful activities, fieldtrips, crafts, and parties planned for your camper. Please review the information on this page and return the proper forms to the front desk. You will also have to submit a current GA 3231 Immunization Form within 30 days of enrollment. Our center hours are 6 am-6:30 pm.

Tuition

Weekly tuition for Summer Camp is $140 a week or $30 a day. Registration is $55 per child. This includes meals and snacks, daily swimming expense, and the cost of fieldtrips. Some field trips will require an extra fee indicated on the field trip permission form. Tuition is due every Friday for the following week. If tuition is not paid by the close of the business day on Monday, then a late fee of $20 will be posted to your account. There is also a one time pool fee of $15 per family.

Camp Groups

We have 2 camp groups this summer. Jr. Camp is children coming out of Kindergarten-2 nd Grade. Sr. Camp is children coming out of 3 rd Grade-5 th Grade. Some children coming out of 2 nd Grade may be assigned to Sr. Camp to keep the class sizes even.

Field Trips

Each class will take one Outside Field Trip and one In House Field Trip a week. Most Jr. Camp Outside Field Trips will be on Tuesdays. Sr. Camp will be Thursdays. This will vary a little. Please download the field trip calendar for reference. Each class will have a binder on the front desk with field trip permission forms for you to sign. The calendar will tell you if your child needs a sack lunch, what time the class is departing/returning, which class is going, what the trip is, and if your child can bring spending money. If there is an ($) next to the name of the trip, then your child may bring spending money. Your child is responsible for keeping up with there own money. Jr Field Trips Sr Field Trips

Bus Rules

Each Camper will be required to follow a simple set of rules while riding on the Day Care Bus. This is for their protection, and for the protection of others.

  • Each child must sit in his/her seat, facing forward, hands in lap, feet on floor.
  • Seat Belts must be worn at all times. Campers cannot unbuckle seatbelts until the Driver has given permission.
  • If the windows on the bus are open, children may not throw any item or place hands out of the windows.
  • All campers must use inside voices.
  • There is no eating or drinking on the bus unless the teachers are passing out snack or drink.

Failure to follow the Bus Rules will result in suspension from fieldtrips.

Toys from Home

Campers may bring toys from home but at their OWN RISK. Bright Star will not accept any responsibility for lost, broken, or stolen toys, games, electronics, movies, etc. Our recommendation is to leave these items home. Their are plenty of items here to keep your camper entertained.

Summer Swimming

Swimming will begin Tuesday May 30 th. We will have a certified lifeguard on duty while the pool is open. Swimming is a privilege. Any child who cannot follow the Pool Rules will not be permitted to swim. We will also offer swim lessons to those who need it. More information will be available before camp starts. Each child who can swim, and would like to swim in the deep end, must pass a swim test given by the Life Guard. Management will not override the Life Guards decision.

We look forward to having a fun, safe summer. If you have any questions or concerns, please let our teachers know or notify the front desk.

Thank you for letting us take care of your child this summer!!!
